Landmark is hiring a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a major engineering function across subsurface, drilling, reservoir modeling, production optimization, or data platforms. Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline
• 8+ years of professional software engineering or engineering management experience
• 3+ years managing engineering teams with direct delivery accountability
• Experience managing managers or leading a team large enough to require delegation of management responsibility
• Demonstrated ability to lead delivery across complex, multi‑team programs
• Technical background to engage credibly with architectural decisions, code quality tradeoffs, and platform migration planning
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to create clarity from ambiguity
• Track record of deliberate talent development: growing engineers and managers through feedback and coaching

Responsabilidades

• Lead multiple engineering teams or a large team of 10–20 engineers with accountability for delivery, quality, and operational health across scope
• Coach Engineering Managers or senior ICs on leadership, delivery, and team growth
• Sequence and oversee major architectural changes and platform migrations while maintaining ongoing delivery commitments
• Maintain engineering discipline: sprint health, incident response, technical debt, and consistent practices
• Dive into technical issues when necessary and align technical and management direction
• Communicate priorities and decisions to enable teams to make informed local decisions
• Collaborate with product to align engineering and product roadmaps for customer value and architecture
• Participate in cross‑functional planning with product, design, and domain science to set quarterly priorities
• Build clear team charters, ownership boundaries, and documented engineering practices
• Identify and resolve organizational impediments before they compound
• Set hiring bar and manage senior hires across scope

Educación

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM

8+ years professional software engineering or engineering management experience

3+ years managing engineering teams with delivery accountability

Experience managing managers or large teams with delegation of management responsibility

Ability to lead delivery across complex multi‑team programs

Deep technical background to engage with architecture, code quality, and migrations

Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to create clarity

Track record of deliberate talent development and coaching
