Job summary

L3Harris in Columbia, MD is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead end-to-end software development for tactical military radio domain. You will plan and manage projects across the product lifecycle, mentor managers and developers, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a BS with 12 years (or MS with 10), active Secret clearance, and strong leadership in agile environments.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering with 12+ years of experience developing/managing software engineering solutions (10+ years with MS)
• Active Secret U.S. DoD Security Clearance or lapsed less than 2 years
• Proven leadership in agile software development environments and cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage project execution over full product life cycle, aligning with scope, budget, and schedule
• Apply best practices for software design, coding, and release across multiple products
• Mentor engineering managers and developers for staff development and capacity planning
• Staff allocations to meet engineering resource demands
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external customers to define and execute radio product development
• Support new business pursuits with estimates and technical input
• Maintain DoD Secret clearance throughout employment
