Job summary

Jobtailor in Los Angeles seeks a seasoned software engineering leader to drive a high-performing team responsible for delivering scalable software solutions. You will partner with product managers to prioritize work, and collaborate across IT, compliance, robotics, and other engineering domains to ship impactful features for internal customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3-5+ years of people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes.
• Experience with robotics-related software and CAD/3D geometry.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Own delivery of software solutions.
• Partner with product managers to define priorities, scope work, and ship high-impact features for internal customers.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and IT, legal and compliance, robotics and automation, and other engineering disciplines.
• Establish and continuously improve software development processes, quality practices, and lifecycle management.
• Provide technical oversight and guardrails for AI-assisted applications.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members.
• Build a healthy, high-performing engineering culture.
• Balance long-term architectural health with the fast pace of a growing manufacturing startup.
• Report to the VP of Software & IT
