Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager in the United States (New Jersey) to lead a large engineering group across frontend, backend, and QA, driving architectural direction and delivery aligned with business goals.

You will mentor 3 people leaders and 12 individual contributors, foster innovation, ensure scalable, reliable systems, and collaborate closely with product managers. 100% remote work with occasional travel support GM's flexible culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Science, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or related role.
• Experience with architecture, design patterns, RESTful APIs, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a large team of engineers and 3 people leaders, directing software development and delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and direction for architecture, design, and development processes.
• Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to align technology with business goals.
