Job summary

Oracle America, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software for databases, applications, and networks.

You will drive architecture decisions, manage lifecycle processes, and guide security-focused engineering in a dynamic cloud environment. Responsibilities include shaping the product roadmap, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring robust, scalable solutions across Windows and Linux platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field with 6 years of progressive experience.
• Design software architecture and develop solutions using modern languages, including Java.
• Drive the software development lifecycle to meet product roadmap objectives.
• Manage networking and security solution teams.
• Build automated network and security solutions.
• Experience with cloud products, especially in networking and security.
• Experience with distributed systems, CAP theorem, consensus, messaging, and high availability.
• Data structures, algorithms, and operating systems knowledge.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design software architecture and develop solutions using Java.
• Drive the software development lifecycle to achieve product roadmap objectives.
• Manage networking and security solution teams.
• Build automated network and security solutions.
• Work with cloud products in networking and security domains.
• Work with distributed systems to ensure high availability.
