Job summary

Providence seeks a Software Engineering Leader to own end-to-end development, quality, and delivery of caregiver-focused solutions. You will guide architecture, define quality criteria, and ensure solutions meet business objectives and KPIs.

You will mentor teams, promote engineering excellence, and lead cross-functional collaboration across IS and service engineering while delivering resilient, scalable platforms for the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of related experience with software engineering leadership.
• 8+ years leading technical teams in a complex environment.
• Data-driven mindset guiding decisions across teams and IS.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• Influential leadership across functional areas and divisions.
• Ability to build relationships with executives and cross-function teams.
• Expertise in software engineering best practices and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Own software solution strategy, architecture, and deliverables for the portfolio.
• Lead teams to design technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Advise on trends and capabilities to support future solution vision.
• Define cross-service software, tools, processes, and dependencies for resilient solutions.
• Promote a culture of quality across engineering, product, and testing.
• Guide testing strategies to meet quality KPIs across units.
• Use data/insights to describe defects, impacts, and root causes clearly.
• Prioritize work across teams to deliver with velocity and focus.
