Job summary

PSJH is seeking a Software Engineering Leader in the Redmond area to own end-to-end software development, quality, and delivery that delivers meaningful caregiver value. You will evaluate requirements, estimate costs, design solutions, and ensure quality criteria across the portfolio.

You will guide architecture strategy, promote engineering excellence, and help teams deliver resilient, scalable, and performant solutions aligned with business objectives and quality KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field is required or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related experience with deep knowledge of software engineering best practices.
• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using metrics to guide decisions across team(s).
• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Proven ability to influence across a division and IS through technical and business expertise.
• Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues, customers, and executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Architecture Strategist: Own software solution strategy, architecture, design, and engineering deliverables for the portfolio you support.
• Technical Solution Builder: Lead teams in designing technical solutions that deliver partner value and align with PSJH business objectives.
• Innovation Advisor: Anticipate industry trends and advise on new solutions, capabilities, and technologies for the future vision.
• Cross-Service Planner: Define software, tools, cloud services, processes, roles, dependencies, and documentation for resilient, supportable solutions.
• Quality Champion: Promote a culture of quality across Engineering, ensuring standards align with service objectives.
• Testing and Performance Leader: Guide testing strategies to meet quality KPIs across unit, integration, load, and security tests.
• Data-Driven Problem Solver: Use data to understand solution quality, describe defects, and communicate findings clearly.
• Agility Driver: Prioritize work across teams and remove barriers to speed delivery while maintaining focus.
• Engineering Process Improver: Optimize the engineering lifecycle for significant system improvements.
• Continuous Improvement Advocate: Drive new ways to improve quality, engineering solutions, and responsiveness to feedback.
• Service Engineering Partner: Define and build tools with service engineering and manage hand-offs between teams.
