Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Engineering to lead a dedicated software development team focused on enhancements and new product development. You will drive the full software lifecycle from specification through deployment, working closely with program managers and internal customers to shape application requirements and prioritize delivery.

You will guide engineers across multiple tech stacks (Python, Java, C#, Groovy) and production support while advancing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or equivalent with 12+ years of software engineering and leadership experience.
• Alternative: Master’s degree in Computer Science with 8+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all development phases: specification, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and running software supporting production systems.
• Work with software program managers and internal customers to define application requirements and/or modifications.
• Manage and prioritize a team of software developers aligned to company/team goals.
• Build technical understanding of production systems; drive continuous improvement and eliminate technical debt.
• Participate in release activities across specification, design, implementation, testing, deployment.
