Job summary

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and sustain software across complex systems from Annapolis Junction, MD. You will lead technical work on high-impact projects and collaborate with senior engineers to translate user needs into scalable features.

The ideal candidate has a 14+ year CS background (or 14+ with degree substitution), an active TS/SCI clearance, and strong skills in Git, Java, C++, Python, and PostgreSQL, plus AWS and Kubernetes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline with 14+ years of experience.
• Four years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience in Agile software development.
• Proficiency with Git, Java, C++, Python, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and enhance software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
• Facilitate alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance requirements.
• Define feature specifications with the Chief Engineer and build products.
• Conduct design and code reviews.
• Work on problems of diverse scope requiring data evaluation.
• Make sound judgments to select methods for solutions.
• Complete medium to large features independently.
• Identify and drive changes in codebase or systems.
