Job summary

Peraton is seeking a highly experienced Software Engineer to support IC data management, data movement, and analytics across mission spaces. The role emphasizes leading software teams, shaping development processes, and ensuring quality across complex projects.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (four additional SWE years can substitute for degree).
• Twenty years of experience as a Software Engineer on similar programs.
• Minimum of 6 years of recent development experience.
• Knowledge of data enrichment/conversion, data ontologies/schemas, XML/CSV/JSON, and database experience.
• JAVA, analytic development experience, and working knowledge of NIFI are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to extract meaning and value from structured and unstructured data.
• Leverage statistical methods and/or machine learning to discover patterns and behaviors of entities.
• Use query and visualization tools like DataXplorer and GMAE to present datasets in a story-like manner.
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand mission needs and requirements.
• Recommend new technologies and processes and serve as the technical lead of multiple software teams.
• Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering.
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software.
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
