Job summary

Peraton seeks a Software Engineer to support a suite of web-based data management applications for IC data custodians. The role emphasizes extracting value from data, applying analytics and ML, and presenting results with DataXplorer and GMAE.

The position requires TS/SCI with Polygraph and extensive SWE experience, with flexible hours at the Peraton facility in the United States. Target salary range is disclosed; strong potential for bonuses.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• 17 years of SWE experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; 4 extra years may substitute.
• Minimum of 6 recent years of development experience.
• Knowledgeable with XML, CSV, JSON and databases.
• JAVA and NIFI knowledge highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Devise strategies to extract meaning and value from structured and unstructured data
• Leverage statistical methods and/or machine learning to discover patterns and behaviors of entities
• Use query and visualization tools, such as DataXplorer and GMAE, to present datasets in a story-like manner
• Work with various metadata domains to develop new methodologies for automated data characterization
• Analyze and develop requirements to support data characterization and ingestion of new data types
• Collaborate with customer teams to understand mission needs and requirements
• Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects and lead multiple software teams
• Select the software development process in coordination with the customer and SE
