Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a senior software engineer to join our defense-focused team in Hanover, MD. The role involves developing and enhancing analytics-driven software, handling large data sets, and contributing to next-generation decision-support technologies.

You will work on systems spanning retrieval, distributed computing, real-time processing, storage, and UI design, collaborating across teams while applying leadership and innovative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 14 years of software engineering experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• 4 years of additional software engineering experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development methodologies appropriate to the environment.
• Provides input to system design including trade-offs and reuse.
