Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a software engineer to join our team to solve challenging customer problems by leveraging innovative technical solutions for national defense. Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience are required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required.
• Fourteen years experience may be substituted by four (4) years of additional software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, Scala, Ruby and Go is preferred.
• IDEs like Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, Visual Studio and VS Code are favored.
• OS platforms such as Windows, Unix, Linux and macOS are supported.
• Tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub and ServiceNow are used for collaboration.
• Frameworks including Spring, Angular and Bootstrap are used.
• Databases Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB are involved.
• Build tools Maven and Jenkins. Containers Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configuration management with Git, SVN, CVS.
• Cloud providers AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems based on documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and tests results.
• Resolves software problem reports.
• Uses appropriate software development methodologies and design approaches.
• Provides input on system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and reuse.
