Raytheon in Huntsville, AL seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Test Engineering) to develop, integrate, and sustain software for automated test equipment and system verification. You will work on hardware bring‑up, test workflows, and driver wrappers in a hands-on, multi-discipline team.

Required are C++/C#, Visual Studio, NI TestStand, and DoD-level security clearance. This role is 100% onsite in Huntsville with Agile team participation and strong emphasis on test reliability.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in C++ and C#, including hardware-related and system-level development.
• Experience developing automated test sequences using NI TestStand.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio for development and debugging.
• Demonstrated capability in root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnostic workflows.
• Hands-on experience integrating software with hardware components, test equipment, or embedded systems.
• Understanding of configuration management, code versioning, and software release practices.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• An active U.S. government issued security clearance is required to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Ability to design and maintain software wrappers for hardware drivers and test instrumentation.

• Develop, integrate, and sustain software solutions that support automated test equipment (ATE), system verification, hardware bring‑up, and test workflow optimization.
• Collaborate with test engineers to design test strategies, validate hardware performance, and refine test coverage.
• Support software configuration, version control, branching, and release processes for test applications.
• Participate in Agile planning, backlog refinement, sprint execution, and team ceremonies.
• Develop documentation for test procedures, test architecture, system integration workflows, and release notes.
• Partner with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and manufacturing test teams to ensure test reliability and repeatability.
