Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a Senior Developer to join the application development team. You will design and build software solutions for our high-priority initiatives, mentor peers, and promote agile practices across projects.

You will collaborate with business partners to translate requirements, ensure quality, and contribute to architecture decisions while leveraging Java EE, Spring, Angular, and modern open source tools in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or 3+ years equivalent work experience).
• Experience developing software using Java EE, XML, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular 11, Bootstrap, Foundation, Typescript, NodeJS.

Responsibilities

• Works as a member of the application development team to design and develop software solutions for high-priority initiatives.
• Supports existing applications, incidents, problems, and service requests with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Mentors and supports other developers in design and construction of software solutions.
