Job summary

FHLB Des Moines is seeking a motivated student for a Co-Op position within our Information Technology department. You will support, maintain, and enhance systems used across the Bank, while gaining exposure to financial systems and banking technology processes.

Ideal candidates are working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science (or a graduate student in a similar program), with strong communication skills, knowledge of Java stack, MS SQL Server, and experience with agile

Working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or graduate student in masters of engineering/computer science program.

Responsibilities

Support, maintain, and enhance systems used across the Bank.
Assist with application analysis, development, and testing activities.
Provide technical support to IT staff and end users as needed.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of internally developed applications.
Work with vendor-supported platforms to ensure optimal system performance and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve application and system-related issues.
Gain exposure to financial systems and banking technology processes.
Collaborate with team members on technology initiatives and projects.
