Job summary

Tangram Flex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with extensive leadership to guide open mission system integration efforts and MOSA-based modular software development. You will lead a team of software and systems engineers to deliver deployable solutions to government and industry customers, in Dayton, Ohio, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience (MS/PhD preferred).
• 8 years in software engineering development with hands-on technical leadership on R&D or product development projects.
• U.S. Citizenship required; must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Architect, develop, and test high-performance software (C/C++, Java, Python, Rust) with open standards for modularity and interoperability.
• Client Engagement & Business Development: Engage clients, deliver findings, and lead product demonstrations; identify expansion opportunities and contribute to SOWs and proposals.
• Engineering Mentorship & SDLC: Mentor software engineers, drive code reviews and best practices; manage end-to-end SDLC with Agile methodologies.
• Integration, Testing & Product Delivery: Maintain deep technical expertise in Tangram Flex products; support end-to-end testing and hardware/software integration; collaborate across engineering teams.
