Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field and 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proven ability to design well-architected software systems for new tech and improve existing functionality.
• Strong problem solving, algorithmic thinking and data structures knowledge.
• Experience leading technical discussions and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development efforts for new Garmin products as an individual contributor.
• Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks and drive project planning.
• Design and review software architecture for performance and maintainability.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and provide technical assessments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support 24/7 operations as needed.
