Job summary

BI Incorporated, based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and document complex software systems within an Agile Scrum framework. You will provide technical leadership, mentor peers and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires substantial hands-on development in C#, ASP.NET and .NET Core, plus strong experience with Angular, SQL Server and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least four (4) years hands-on software development or relevant experience.
• At least two (2) years development experience in an Agile environment.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must live in the United States 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad accepted).
• Extensive use of various change control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops and documents technical aspects of software systems and related hardware interface components, based on product and system requirements.
• Provides technical leadership throughout the Agile development process.
• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture to implement solutions.
• Works with System Administration to support production environment as needed.
• Ensures defined quality controls are met to mitigate defects.
• Provides strategies relating to quality and testing throughout the development process.
• Mentors engineers and leads in best practices and design patterns.
• Participates in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Retrospective meetings.
