Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise applications for Manufacturing, Engineering, and related business functions across the United States and overseas.

You will collaborate with Business Analysts, customers, and technical teams to deliver data-driven systems and reporting solutions. As a senior technical contributor, you will mentor teammates, guide project execution, and help drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5–7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with enterprise applications and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and support custom enterprise applications.
• Develop and support .NET applications, reporting solutions, and ETL processes.
• Gather requirements with analysts and users to deliver effective solutions.
• Serve as a technical lead for enterprise initiatives and standards.
• Support multiple sites with scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• Prepare functional and technical documentation; provide project updates.
• Log requests, issues, and projects in internal systems.
• Follow IS policies and change control procedures.
• Manage or support project scope, schedule, quality, cost, and resources.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.
• Build internal/external relationships to drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise individuals at the Colorado Springs FAB5 facility.
