Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support enterprise applications across manufacturing and business sites, including the United States and overseas.

You will design, develop, enhance, and support custom applications, reporting solutions, and data-driven systems for Manufacturing, Engineering, and related functions. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience gathering requirements from Business Analysts, customers, and end users.
• Ability to mentor others and lead project or team activities.
• On-site at Gresham, Oregon location.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and support custom enterprise applications for Manufacturing, Engineering, and related business functions.
• Develop and support .NET applications, reporting solutions, and ETL processes.
• Serve as a technical lead for enterprise initiatives, including design, standards, testing, and support.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members.
• Support global stakeholders and occasionally join meetings outside normal hours.
