Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead a team building and evolving the FAST platform for Life insurance domains. You will tackle full‑stack development across .NET, Angular/React, and SQL databases, delivering scalable APIs and services.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and cross‑functional teams to provide robust, high‑quality software solutions. You will guide junior engineers, champion modern software practices, and communicate complex concepts to both technical

Qualifications

• At least 5‑7 years of experience building large‑scale software applications.
• Experience building web applications.
• Proficient in Java, C#, or .NET.
• Experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server).
• Experience with tuning stored procedures.
• Strong object‑oriented programming and enterprise design principles.
• Development experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, ExtJS).
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with AWS services.
• Leadership and/or management experience of on‑shore and off‑shore resources.

Responsibilities

• Guide junior and mid‑level engineers, supporting their skill growth and problem solving.
• Build scalable full‑stack solutions across .NET/Angular/React and backend services.
• Develop features and infrastructure to meet evolving business objectives.
• Ensure performance, uptime, and code quality with solid design standards.
• Lead modernization efforts for the SaaS product and platform.
• Act as primary client contact for the FAST platform and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Communicate complex topics clearly to non‑technical audiences.
• Participate in agile design, implementation, and deployment.
• Design end‑to‑end systems using SOA principles on J2EE and .NET.
