Job summary

Verisk is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Life insurance-focused FAST platform team in New Jersey. You will lead and collaborate with top engineers to deliver scalable, high-performance SaaS solutions across the full stack (Java/.NET, Angular/React, SQL Server, Postgres).

You’ll influence architectural decisions and work closely with customers and senior management. You will mentor junior engineers, design end-to-end systems, and help modernize our SaaS offerings while ensuring

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities while guiding junior to mid-level engineers
• Experience building web applications with modern frontend and backend frameworks
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or .NET and relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server)
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservice concepts
• Proven track record in developing scalable, high-performance SaaS solutions
• Experience with AWS services and agile software development practices

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, supporting skill development
• Develop full-stack features across .NET, Angular/React, and REST APIs
• Design and implement scalable, fast, and reliable software for the FAST platform
• Maintain code quality, performance, and security across services
• Lead discussions with clients and internal stakeholders on technical solutions
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to deliver end-to-end systems
• Drive modernization initiatives and best practices in software design
• Participate in agile processes including design, implementation, and deployment
