Job summary

Verisk Analytics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Life Insurance tech team in Holmdel, NJ. As a lead developer, you will design and deliver full-stack solutions on the FAST platform, partnering with clients and engineering colleagues to create scalable, reliable software.

You will mentor juniors, drive API design, and help advance GenAI features using AWS Bedrock, .NET, Angular/React, and modern SaaS patterns in a fast-moving insurance tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of industry experience in large-scale software applications.
• Experience building Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock, MCP.
• Deep understanding of Prompt Engineering and best practices.
• Experience in building web applications.
• Demonstrated programming expertise in Java, C#, or Python.
• Strong OO and enterprise software design principles.
• Development experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, ExtJS) a plus.
• Experience with RESTful APIs design and integration.
• Experience with AWS Services.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for technical discussions with senior management and stakeholders.
• Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
• Design and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale leveraging services design principles on .NET platforms.
• Work primarily in technologies like .NET, Angular/REACT, Java Script, SQL Server, Postgres.
• Collaborate with frontend and backend engineers to create reliable APIs.
• Develop next generation user interfaces and microservice integration.
