Job summary

Expedition Technology (EXP) seeks a Senior Software Engineer/Tech Lead to own end-to-end delivery of mission-critical systems for the US government. You will shape architecture, deploy pipelines, and drive observability across cloud-native apps in Kubernetes.

You’ll mentor teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and apply AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity while upholding high quality and ownership of solutions.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for clearance.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance preferred/required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in software architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience delivering production software and cloud deployments.
• Proficient with containerized apps and Kubernetes.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Cloud experience in AWS with observability and monitoring.
• Proven leadership and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable software systems and services.
• Lead architectural decisions across app, deployment, infra, and ops.
• Ensure maintainability, security, resiliency, and observability.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Deploy and support cloud-native apps in Kubernetes environments.
• Establish engineering best practices for testing, monitoring, and quality.
• Collaborate with engineers, platform teams, and stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across dev, deploy, and prod.
