Job summary

Brex is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Task Workflows Platform to design and scale backend systems powering multi-channel notifications, collaborative commenting, and the dynamic workflow rule builder. You will help evolve orchestration infra toward domain-specific solutions, and advance AI-powered user workflows across the company.

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, developing, and deploying full-stack products.
• Proficient in a backend language (Java, Kotlin, or Python).

• Experience building RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Experience with frontend technologies such as ES6+, React, TypeScript, and Webpack.

Job description

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Task Workflows Platform team, you will build and scale the backend systems behind core Brex experiences, including the multi-channel notifications engine, the collaborative commenting system, and the dynamic workflow rule builder. You will also help evolve the task orchestration infrastructure, moving from a centralized, generic experience to purpose-built solutions for specific product domains. You will help shape broader product experiences, including using AI to streamline user workflows, and help build shared infrastructure for AI product development across the company.
