Job summary

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a systems programming language (Rust, C, C++, or Go).
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 networking (IP routing, tunneling, TCP/UDP).
• Experience with PKI systems and cryptographic fundamentals.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Layer 3 networking for DDIL environments—VPN tunnel management, dynamic routing, and multi-path failover.
• Build radio integration layers that abstract diverse tactical waveforms behind a unified interface.
• Design QoS scheduling and traffic shaping for mission-critical data under bandwidth constraints.
• Build network management and orchestration systems for real-time topology configuration.
• Architect PKI infrastructure for the Lattice mesh including CA, issuance/renewal, and revocation.
• Manage certificate lifecycle across nodes with intermittent connectivity.
• Implement zero-trust identity verification across mesh paths.
• Treat observability as a first-class citizen with Prometheus, Grafana, and eBPF instrumentation.
• Debug complex networking issues from packet captures to cloud infra.
