Job summary

Anduril Intelligence Systems in Reston, Virginia, is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-velocity team building mission-critical web UIs for SoC devices. The role blends people leadership with technical direction and requires coordinating with product, embedded, backend, and hardware teams to align delivery milestones.

You will shape architectural direction, ensure high reliability and test coverage, and drive seamless state synchronization with hardware and backend

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• 5+ years of software development with TypeScript, CSS/SCSS, and React.
• Experience using RESTful APIs and addressing state management and concurrency.
• Experience with front-end testing methodologies and tools, such as React Testing Library, Cypress, and Jest.
• Experience with serialization and deserialization frameworks like Protobufs.
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & People Management: Mentor and retain a high-performing team of front-end and full-stack software engineers.
• Technical Strategy & Architecture: Guide the architectural direction for mission-critical web UIs, ensuring high reliability, test coverage, low latency, and seamless state synchronization with underlying hardware and backend services.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Embedded Systems Engineers, Backend Leads, and Hardware teams to align UI roadmaps with customer delivery milestones.
