Job summary

Nayax in Schenectady, NY is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Support Systems to design and build the internal tools powering our global support organization. This hands-on role focuses on real software, not spreadsheets, reporting to the Director of Software. Remote-friendly, but onsite five days a week at the Schenectady office.

You will own end-to-end builds, work with AI tools, and collaborate with support and engineering teams to scale tooling for a high-growth fintech leader.

Qualifications

• At least 4+ years of real hands-on software engineering with Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools, LLMs, and AI-powered automation.
• Interest in improving support practices and operations.
• Ability to own end-to-end builds used daily by teams.
• Track record of building and scaling support tooling at high-growth companies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal tools and platforms for the support organization.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on support practices and tooling improvements.
• Partner with support and engineering teams to identify and close tooling gaps.
• Own reliability and usability of shipped solutions.
• Iterate tooling based on real usage and team feedback.
