Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Stream Control Plane, a fully remote role. You will build scalable, reliable features for Cribl Stream in a distributed environment, collaborating with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality customer value.

You will work on deploying and operating distributed nodes, integrating production APIs, and improving reliability in production systems while participating in on-call rotations and agile development

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field; 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong hands-on software development experience delivering production systems and customer-facing features.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Responsibilities

• Build software that powers the reliable and scalable operation of Cribl Stream, including deployment, configuration, and orchestration of distributed nodes at scale.
• Partner with engineers, product managers, and designers to turn product requirements into practical technical designs and high-quality implementations.
• Develop, test, and maintain robust code that delivers meaningful customer value.
• Use AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows effectively in day-to-day engineering work, including development, debugging, testing, and operational efficiency.
• Create automated tests and thoughtful test plans to ensure product quality, reliability, and maintainability.
