Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Stream Control Plane team. You will help build scalable, reliable capabilities for Cribl Stream, working with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performing software at scale.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industry experience, strong coding skills in Node.js/TypeScript/JavaScript, and experience with cloud environments and production APIs. The role is fully remote with a global, on‑demand support model and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or MS with relevant experience.
Strong hands‑on software development experience delivering production systems and customer‑facing features.
Experience building enterprise software in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience designing, building, and consuming production APIs (REST/RPC).
Experience in on‑call rotations and incident response.
Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
Comfortable working in remote or hybrid teams using agile practices.

Responsibilities

Build software that powers Cribl Stream's reliable and scalable operation across distributed nodes.
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate requirements into designs and implementations.
Develop, test, and maintain robust code delivering customer value.
Use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, code quality, and outcomes.
Create automated tests and test plans to ensure product quality and reliability.
Contribute to engineering best practices and operational excellence.
Identify and implement performance, scalability, and developer-efficiency improvements.
Support Cribl SaaS offerings and participate in on‑call rotation.
Assist with standby, on‑call, or off‑hours responsibilities as needed.
