DocuSign, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Storage as a Service team. You will design and implement scalable, secure storage platforms, build cross-cloud integrations, and craft automation to simplify durable storage provisioning across PostgreSQL, Redis, and object stores.

The role focuses on control-plane tooling, Terraform-based infrastructure, and data-plane abstractions, delivering reliable, observable services with strong security and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software development in C#, C++ or Java.
• 5+ years working with cloud deployment tools and Terraform.
• Experience designing scalable storage systems, APIs and platform services.
• Experience with cloud storage tech such as PostgreSQL, Redis, NoSQL, object storage or messaging systems.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform and provisioning workflows.
• Design abstractions hiding infra details while preserving reliability, security, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the STaaS control plane and resource provisioning.
• Develop Terraform providers, service blueprints and IaC integrations.
• Create data-plane abstractions using standard protocols and client libraries.
• Work across storage verticals: PostgreSQL, Redis, Key/Value, Blob, Universal Bus.
• Design storage solutions with replication, backup/restore, and encryption in transit/rest.
• Design multi-tenant platform capabilities with per-account encryption keys and quotas.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and lead cross-team platform initiatives.
• Collaborate on cross-cloud capabilities with Google and Azure services.
• Ensure reliability, security and cost efficiency across platforms.
