Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• Hands-on with state machine modeling, lifecycle management, and transactional state stores.
• In-depth knowledge of exactly-once or effectively once processing and failure modes in distributed environments.
• Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Go or Python; experience with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain explicit state machines for lifecycle transitions.
• Architect transactional state stores with safe, high-concurrency read/write operations.
• Implement outbox pattern for atomic state updates and event publication.
• Design for correctness under concurrency, partitions, and failures with proper observability.
• Lead and mentor engineers on safe, reliable distributed systems and AI-assisted tooling.
