Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support space-centric programs across DoW and IC. You will build modern full-stack applications, modernize legacy software, and develop distributed systems using microservices and cloud-native architectures.

You will collaborate with space system engineers, mission integrators, and operations teams while guiding design decisions and mentoring junior engineers. A Secret clearance is preferred and travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or relevant field.
5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
Experience architecting microservices, APIs, message buses, and high-availability systems.
Experience with space/DoD/IC programs and DevSecOps on classified systems.
Experience developing in C++, C#, Rust, Python, or Go.
Experience with SQL/NoSQL database design and integration.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GovCloud).
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
