Job summary

CesiumAstro, a developer of space communication systems, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the systems engineering activities from concept through verification and support across aerospace programs.

You will translate mission objectives into technical solutions, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive risk management and process improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 5+ years in space-based payloads.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle.
• Experience developing, managing, and verifying system and subsystem requirements.
• Knowledge of architecture, interface management, integration, and configuration management.
• Understanding verification, validation, and integration processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities from concept to operation across programs.
• Translate mission objectives and customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and test teams.
• Provide technical leadership and risk management throughout the lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes and engineering rigor.
• Support program milestones and technical reviews.
