L3Harris Technologies invites applications for a Senior Specialist, Software Engineering in Palm Bay, FL. This on-site role supports Ground Segment Software for space defense programs, collaborating with systems engineers and hardware designers to deliver high-performance software solutions.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, integrate, and test software, participate in peer reviews, and produce documentation across the full SDLC, using C++, C#, and Java in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Ability to secure and maintain SAP access as required
• Experience with Linux environments, scripting, and software deployment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain satellite ground software with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware designers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Create test procedures, software programs, and related documentation.
• Review code, participate in peer reviews, and repair defects.
• Utilize Objected-Oriented Programming languages (C++, C#, Java).
• Support interfaces between software and system performance requirements
