Gemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Invest / Trade department in New York. You will architect and solve complex problems impacting the digital asset space, with a strong emphasis on security and high-quality code.

You will develop features on the Gemini platform as part of a tight-knit team, write tests, review peers’ code, and help improve performance and operations. The role involves collaboration across teams, backend in Scala/C++, frontend in Typescript, and a hybrid work

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Backend proficiency in Scala and C++, with frontend in Typescript.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage dependencies.
• Customer and product-focused mindset with balanced speed and quality.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and features on the Gemini platform within a small team.
• Write automated tests with QA to ensure correctness.
• Provide technical input during planning and design of new features.
• Review code for correctness, style, and security concerns.
• Improve performance and maintainability; participate in refactoring.
• Support production software and respond to alerts or bugs.
• Oversee risk systems and monitoring tool development.
