Job summary

Gemini is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in New York to architect and deliver scalable crypto platform features. You’ll work on securing customer funds, building blockchain-related products, and optimizing API performance within a security-focused team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Backend uses Scala and C++, frontend uses Typescript.
• Ability to work closely across teams and manage dependencies.
• Customer- and product-focused mindset with tradeoffs between speed and quality.
• Able to adapt and handle multiple competing priorities with peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and features on the Gemini platform as part of a tight-knit team of two to eight developers.
• Write automated tests and work with QA to ensure correctness of new features.
• Provide technical input during planning, design, and requirements process for new products.
• Review other engineers' code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.
• Improve performance, maintainability, and operations of the code base via refactoring and upgrades.
• Support production software by responding to occasional alerts or bug reports.
• Design, develop and test operating systems level software.
• Oversee risk systems functionality and monitor/report performance with new tools.
• Identify, coordinate and manage resolution of processing usage issues.
• Own technical issues through resolution and implement solutions based on business needs.
• Plan and coordinate project implementation support and estimate work efforts and schedules.
