Gemini is hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Invest / Trade to develop features on the Gemini platform with a tight-knit team. You will write automated tests, contribute to design decisions, and help improve performance and security of the codebase.

The role requires 5+ years of software engineering experience, proficiency in Scala or C++, and experience with TypeScript on the frontend. Collaboration across teams in a hybrid US-based work model is expected, with optional remote options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in at least one language.
• Backend and frontend stack experience: Scala/C++ on backend, TypeScript on frontend.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and features on the Gemini platform as part of a small team.
• Write automated tests and work with QA to ensure feature correctness.
• Provide technical input for planning, design, and requirements of new products.
• Review code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.
• Improve performance and maintainability through refactoring and upgrades.
• Support production software by responding to alerts or bug reports.
• Oversee risk systems functionality and monitoring tool development.
