Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks an experienced Software Engineer SME for our Chantilly, VA site. You will design, implement, and manage frontend and backend frameworks, building scalable, maintainable, high-performance applications.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create reusable UI components, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline and 15+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing web or client/server applications using Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA; upggrading to current releases.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular; strong SQL and Oracle knowledge.
