Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an experienced Front-End Developer to deliver scalable UI components and high-performance web applications for government projects in Springfield, VA.

You will design and implement front-end frameworks, partner with backend microservices, and ensure accessibility and optimal performance within an Agile team. A Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering and 8+ years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications or training.
• 8+ years of related experience.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS environments and web app development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or JavaScript with enterprise web app design.
• Experience with RESTful services and Tomcat deployment.
• Strong collaboration and agile project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop scalable, maintainable front-end UI components.
• Build and optimize web applications within a microservices architecture.
• Ensure accessibility and performance across browsers.
