Job summary

SimVentions, located in Stafford, Virginia, seeks an experienced software engineer to join our systems team. This role requires an Interim Secret Clearance and US citizenship for clearance eligibility.

You will design secure, scalable software architectures, mentor teams, and collaborate across platforms using Java, Rust, C++, Python, Docker, and CI/CD. Applicants should have 8+ years of software development, a BS in an engineering/technical field, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience managing project workflows and driving team collaboration using VS Code, JetBrain’s IntelliJ, JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab.
• Experience in JAVA and Rust, and in C++ and Python.
• Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu / RedHat) and agile software practices.
• Interim Secret Clearance required; US citizenship required for clearance eligibility.
• BS in engineering, science, or technical discipline is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement secure, scalable software architectures and integrate with hardware platforms.
• Collaborate with the H62 Mission Autonomy Lead to manage agile cycles and translate requirements into specs.
• Establish technical baselines and prioritize high-impact development tasks.
