Job summary

BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain code for complex client/server enterprise applications in the Secure Remote Access suite. You will own portions of the build, release, and cloud infrastructure, collaborating across Engineering and Support teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience with Python, PHP, Laravel, AWS, and Unix/Linux, plus Agile methodologies and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficiency with Python and PHP; Laravel or similar MVC framework.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, KMS) and cloud infra.
• Strong focus on secure coding, testing, and agile development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable code for complex client/server applications.
• Translate storyboards and use cases into functional software.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders on design and direction.
• Create test cases and documentation with QA.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide code fixes and patches.
• Build and release appliance images and software updates for on-prem and cloud deployments.
