Job summary
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Custom Government team to design, build, and operate secure, resilient cloud solutions for public sector networks, collaborating with Operations and SRE to deliver high-performance Application Delivery Networks.
You will lead CI/CD pipelines, develop testing frameworks, and guide security-focused software delivery across cross-functional teams, aligning with Zero Trust and PKI standards while contributing to ongoing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and debugging tools.
- Experience with Python or Perl scripting and CI/CD tooling.
- Hands-on with Docker, NoSQL databases, cloud storage, and networking.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and PKI standards.
- US Citizenship eligible for security clearance; active clearance not required.
Responsibilities
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, enhance tools, and build robust testing frameworks.
- Own design, deployment, and evolution of custom government network platforms.
- Design and develop next-generation capabilities for platform services.
- Guide code reviews, apply security patches, and drive ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams to manage SDLC with Agile practices.
