Job summary

Regional Finance (Regional Management Corp.) in Greer, SC seeks a seasoned Software Development Engineer to design, develop, and deploy software solutions powering our consumer finance platform. You will study operations, prioritize delivery, and work across teams to build scalable systems.

You’ll mentor junior engineers, participate in code reviews, and help grow engineering capabilities. Strong knowledge of .NET/C#, JavaScript, Python and SQL is required for delivering critical, 24x7 software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years of software lifecycle development experience.
• Strong experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, Python, Django.
• Experience in an agile environment and 24x7 mission critical systems.
• Knowledge of coding standards, reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing and operations.
• Fluent with multiple programming paradigms and relational databases (SQL).
• Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket and SQL Server.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop software solutions by studying information needs and user requirements.
• Determine operational feasibility and evaluate proposed solutions.
• Document and demonstrate solutions with flowcharts, diagrams and comments.
• Prepare system specifications, standards and programming details.
• Improve operations by analyzing systems and suggesting policy changes.
• Stay current with development tools, techniques and training.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate to create new products.
• Make informed decisions quickly and take ownership of services at scale.
