Job summary

LineLeap, a leading rewards platform for the college experience, seeks a senior software engineer to own end-to-end features for a high-traffic consumer app. You will design, implement, and scale services to handle bursty traffic while maintaining reliability and performance.

You will collaborate with product and engineering partners to shape scope, own critical services, and deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid in NYC or SF is preferred, with remote options case-by-case.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience writing high-quality production code.
• 1+ year on-call experience for critical production services.
• Ability to own large pieces of work independently.
• Experience building or scaling high-traffic services where uptime matters.
• Sound, pragmatic judgment on architecture and tradeoffs.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical teammates.
• Experience working across modern full-stack environments (Terraform, Flutter).
• Experience with a consumer product in a high-traffic app is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship high-impact product features for a large audience.
• Solve hard scaling and reliability problems as traffic grows.
• Shape product direction with engineers and product partners.
• Move quickly without lowering engineering bar and maintain code health.
