Datavant is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead architectural design for scalable platform initiatives in the US. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive technical direction with Product, Infra, and Security, and mentor engineers to raise engineering standards.

You'll work with Python/Go/Java, TypeScript/React, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Kafka, and observability tools to build secure, scalable systems that power data-driven healthcare solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in distributed systems and backend engineering.
• Strong background in system design and cloud-native architectures.
• Proven track record leading major technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural design and end-to-end delivery for key systems or migrations.
• Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Security teams to set technical direction.
• Design scalable microservices and guide system decomposition initiatives.
• Drive performance optimization, observability, and reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers and promote best practices across teams.
