Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer for the LogScale Search team in Austin to deliver scalable backend features and maintain high availability. You will work with a distributed team to design, implement, and deliver solutions for petabyte-scale data ingestion and billions of queries per day.

You will lead cross-team initiatives, contribute to technical leadership, and apply AI-driven approaches to optimize decision-making and workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in distributed systems and ability to reason about performance at scale.
• Strong software development background with balancing short-term delivery and long-term goals.
• Proven technical leadership across products or services.
• Fluency in functional and object‑oriented programming; ability to learn new languages quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with customer and product focus, and operational excellence by monitoring features released to customers.
• Develop the LogScale backend in Scala and scale to increasing ingest and query load with high availability.
• Collaborate across teams to define and deliver new solutions and improve internal docs.
• Communicate clearly with contributors and management across global teams.
