Waystar, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute across the Aware platform, working on VueJS/NodeJS/Java/AWS and more.

You will design scalable, resilient solutions and participate in technical and product discussions with leaders across engineering, product, and business teams. Candidates should have a BS in CS and 7+ years of software development experience, with strong CS fundamentals and proficiency in Java, Spring, NodeJS, and modern frontend frameworks.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related area
• 7+ years of software development experience
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and system design
• Experience with Java, Spring, NodeJS, and frontend frameworks
• SQL and relational databases; REST APIs
• Automated testing with JUnit/TestNG/Jest/Vitest
• Familiarity with web technologies and distributed systems
• Excellent communication and ownership

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, resilient software for the Aware platform
• Contribute across frontend, backend, and services stack
• Participate in product discussions with engineering and business teams
• Promote engineering excellence and CI/CD practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders and deliver high-quality code
