Waystar in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to contribute across the Aware platform, delivering scalable backend services and modern frontend work. You will design and implement resilient solutions using NodeJS, Java, VueJS, AWS and more, with a strong emphasis on engineering excellence and ownership.

You’ll collaborate with product and engineering leads, mentor peers, and drive technical discussions to improve architecture and delivery across the full app stack.

Qualifications

10+ years of software development experience.
Strong CS fundamentals and system design skills.
Experience building scalable backend services and web apps.
Experience with frontend frameworks and backend Java/Spring.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, resilient platform components.
Contribute to product discussions with leaders across teams.
Mentor engineers and promote engineering excellence.
